Jerry Miller has had a long and varied career in the music business. We are probably most familiar with him as a member of Moby Grape, a band whose songs Robert has sung live for years. Miller also performed with the Bobby Fuller Four, who had a huge hit with “I Fought the Law” in 1965. In 2003, Miller was #68 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
Currently, Miller is living in a hotel after losing all his possessions on January 8, 2008. His home in Pacific, WA was flooded when too much water was released from an upstream dam. Miller had time to save only Beulah (his guitar), an amp and his dog. Along with all his personal items, Miller lost 40 years of music memorabilia that was priceless–including recordings of shows, and photos of Miller with musicians from Hendrix to Robert Plant.
Miller must now replace his belongings as well as find a place to live. He must basically start over. If you would like to help Jerry Miller, there is a flood fund set up so that you can do just that. Donations are handled trough PayPal. You can read more about the flooding and how to donate at Jerry’s website. Give him a hand if you can.

Monday Music offers a random Robert track for your listening fancy.
It’s another Priory of Brion track this Monday. From May 20, 2000 Somerset (UK). Darkness, Darkness was originally recorded by Jesse Colin Young and the Youngbloods. The original version is a bit lighter. As always, Robert “spooked it up a bit” and added that tinge of … um… darkness.
Click the triangle to start the player, click again to stop it.
Darkness, Darkness Darkness, Darkness

The February Photo is ready for captions.
The February desktop calendar is also ready. The square version works well on standard monitors. The oblong one is better suited for Apple displays on newer iMacs and powerbooks as well as cinema displays. Just save and install as you would any wallpaper. The calendars are available for a limted time so get them early! Enjoy.
