Twenty-one-time Grammy winner Alison Krauss, and rock legend Robert Plant presented the Hall of Fame award to Burnett—together delivering a poetic appreciation of his knowledge of American musical history and dedication to the craft of recording. Both returned to the stage later in the evening with Burnett and his production team when their collaborative project, Raising Sand, won the TEC Award for Record Production/Album.

The 2008 TEC Awards were presented on October 3, 2008 in San Francisco California. Raising Sand won an excellence in creativity award for Record Production/Album.
In addition, T-Bone Burnett was inducted into the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes those whose careers have best exemplified the spirit of creative and technical excellence in professional audio.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will induct T-Bone Burnett into the TEC Hall of Fame on Friday, October 3 in San Francisco. Burnett is being honored for his achievements a a musician, composer and producer.
Raising Sand is also nominated at the event for Creative Achievement in Record Production.

Uncut Magazine has launched the Uncut Music Award which will find the “most inspiring and richly rewarding album of the last 12 months”. The first list will consist of 25 albums. From those albums and industry panel will choose a shortlist of 8 albums. The winner will then be chosen from those eight.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss appear on the long list with their album Raising Sand.

Robert and Alison were big winners at the Americana Music Honors and Awards ceremony on September 18, 2008. Raising Sand was named Album of the year, and Robert and Alison won Duo of the Year.
The 2008 Americana Music Honors and Awards ceremony took place at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Robert was one of the “surprise” performers for the evening, singing with Buddy Miller. About Miller, Robert said: “It’s been such an experience working with this guy. He’s spectacular.”

BBC 6 Music has an hour podcast available which includes an expanded interview with Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (from the video seen on the Mercury Prize webpage). The program can also be listened to on the website.
Robert and Alison’s interview segment is at the 5:00 mark and runs to 7:33. However the red carpet reporters kept talking about Robert and mentioning him throughout the broadcast.

Robert and Alison are nominated for a Country Music award. Their category is “Musical Event of the Year” and it is for their performance of Gone Gone Gone.
Alison is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.
The 42nd annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Sommet Center in Nashville on November 12, 2008 from 8-11pm ET on ABC.

Robert and Alison attended the Mercury Prize gala on September 9, 2008. Each nominee received a nomination award. During his remarks, Robert said:
“This record has provided me with two of the happiest years of my career. Then again, I can’t remember much of what I did before.
“I’ve loved working with Alison and the rest of the band, it’s provided me with so much freedom. It’s great to get this recognition.”
