Robert Plant to Play February Charity Gig (updated)
filed on February 1st, 2010 by Press OfficerAccording to Classic Rock Magazine, Robert Plant will join the Sound & Vision show at Abbey Road Studios on February 25, 2010. The show is to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Robert will be supported by Beth Nielson Chapman and the London Oriana Choir.
Robert commented: “Performing at Sound & Vision is something I’m really excited about. Cancer Research UK is a very worthwhile cause, and when Bob [Harris] asked me to get involved I didn’t hesitate. My set is quite different from anything I’ve ever done before, as I’ll be performing with Beth and a full choir on stage. Cancer is a disease that affects so many people and Sound & Vision is a great way to raise money to fight it.”
The only way to get tickets (and other items that will benefit the charity) is to bid via the Sound & Vision eBay auctions.
Geoff Lloyd and Ben Jones from Absolute Radio will be broadcasting live from this event. Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime show begins at 5pm (uk) and Ben Jones begins at 8pm (uk).
