Robert Plant Supports Gavin and Stacey

Robert Plant appeared on Ruth Jones’ BBC Radio Wales show on December 21, 2008. The open air show featured an announcement of the third series of the Gavin and Stacey comedy program. Robert is apparently a fan of the show, stating:

“You’ve made me smile so much this last couple of years - thank you!”

BBC News also wrote:

In his interview, Plant also spoke about his links to Wales and his interest in its history and mythology.

“My parents used to take me to the castles (in Wales) and tell me a lot about the glory days,” he said.

“I started to enjoy that the culture and the poetry was very different to what we had in England.”

He also spoke about his time as a young man playing gigs in Wales and joked: “I played around here a lot, I got beaten up around here a lot.”

When asked about Led Zeppelin’s plans to tour and record without him as their frontman, Plant said: “I am dug in with Alison Krauss.”

Justin Adams to play WOMADelaide, Wychwood

Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara will be appearing at WOMADelaide in 2009. The festival takes place March 6-8 at Botanic Park in Adelaide, AU. According to the festival website, Justin will also be doing duty as the Musical Director of the All-Star Gala.

According to eFestivals.co.uk Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara will also be appearing at Wychwood Music festival in 2009. The Festival takes place from Friday, May 29 to Sunday May 31 at Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire (UK).
