The Grammy museum opens on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Grammy officials tout it as a “21st century museum, heavy on educational and interactive displays.” It will be housed in the L.A. Live complex.

The museum is divided into different spaces where visitors can explore history making music. The third floor houses recording and production. A film explores the making of Grammy winning music and includes a short documentary on the making of “Gone Gone Gone” by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

The museum will be showcased on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 when the Grammy Awards nominations concert will air on CBS from 9-10pm ET.
